Singing sensation Will Young will appear on the children’s channel CBeebies to read a bedtime story about an LGBT+ family.
Yesterday the BBC channel announced the news via its @CBeebiesHQ account, as the UK marked the start of LGBT+ History Month. Will Young who made his fame on the series Pop Idol, also publicly came out around the same time.
Young will appear on the show on 9th February and will read “Two Dads: A book about adoption.” The channel also made reference to that many families are different, which many twitter users praised.
Young is very outspoken on LGBT+ rights and often discusses these in his podcast called “HomoSapiens” in which he has spoken to the likes of Troye Sivan and Sam Smith who are both openly gay singers/songwriters.
Most recently he commented on the on the Prime Video series “The Grand Tour.”
