‘Straight Pride’ is back, and this time it’s coming to Texas, in the United States of America.
The hate campaign, under the name ‘Straight Pride,’ is scheduled to take place in Dallas on November 16th.
The event is being organisation by alt-right hate group ‘Super Happy Fun America,’ the same group that produced ‘Straight Pride’ in Boston on August 31st.
Organisers have applied for a permit, for their parade, and say they expect up to 2,000 people to participate. Currently, the parade’s Facebook event page has 26 confirmed RSVPs.
Boston’s event, which was held in August this year, attracted just a couple of hundred supporters, who were vastly outnumbered by counter-protesters. Police ended up working overtime that day, at a cost of over $600,000 to taxpayers.
According to an announcement for the event released by Super Happy Fun America, the parade hopes to bring “attention to the sexualization and corruption of America’s children” and protect “our constitutional republic” which organizers fear is “continually under attack.”
“Straight people are an oppressed majority,” says organiser John Hugo. “We will fight for the right of straights everywhere to express pride in themselves without fear of judgement and hate.”
“The day will come when straights will finally be included as equals among all of the other orientations,” Hugo claims.
